Financial Strategist

Summary Purpose: Proactively advise credit unions on methods to productively manage their financial services / product portfolios; develop new business and attract additional deposits from existing and future members; build rapport with and provide fiduciary expertise to credit union decision makers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain member investment and liquidity relationships through proactive phone contact, written correspondence and networking opportunities
  • Promote awareness of investment and liquidity services through development of strategies, support materials, and educational opportunities
  • Assist Business Development and Investments staff with the enhancement, customization, and marketing of financial products
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of credit union philosophy, laws, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to matters of state and federally chartered credit unions
  • Knowledge of Corporate Central’s Bylaws, policies and operational procedures
  • Knowledge of and compliance with the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), USA PATRIOT Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), and all other relevant regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of investment products and the overall financial markets
  • Knowledge of and proficiency with applicable computer databases and software
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and to effect positive initiatives
Education and Experience

This position requires appropriate experience in the financial services industry. Must possess, or be able to obtain, Series 7 and 63 licenses. Some travel may be required.
